How the Bilby gets to you
We design the Bilby experience and run this store. The player itself is made and dispatched by our manufacturing partner overseas. When you order, we place that order with the manufacturer on your behalf, and they ship directly to you. This is why delivery takes longer than a local courier, and why your parcel may arrive with the manufacturer’s name on it. It is also why we can keep the price where it is.
Every order ships with tracking. We email you the tracking link as soon as the parcel is on its way. Delivery takes between 7 and 24 days depending on your country, and most orders arrive in about 10 business days. If yours is running late, contact us and we will chase it.
Prices, currency and what is included
- Prices are shown in US dollars, or in Australian dollars if you are shopping from Australia. You can switch currency on the site, and you pay in the currency shown at checkout.
- The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping, import duties, customs charges and taxes for your country are all included. You will not receive a separate bill from the carrier or customs.
- If a customs charge is ever raised on your parcel by mistake, do not pay it. Contact us and we will resolve it.
- We can change prices at any time, but never for an order you have already placed.
Placing an order
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send you the order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example, if the player is out of stock or we cannot ship to your address — we will tell you within two business days and refund you in full.
You must be 18 or over to place an order. Please check your delivery address carefully. If a parcel is returned to the manufacturer because the address was wrong, we will contact you to arrange redelivery; a second delivery may involve a wait while the parcel makes its way back.
Returns, refunds and faults
You have 90 days to return the Bilby for any reason, with free return shipping. Faulty items are replaced or refunded, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and the consumer laws of your own country are not affected. Full details are in our Returns and Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
What the Bilby is and is not
The Bilby is an Android-based music player. Its features are described on this site as accurately as we can. Parental controls rely on third-party apps such as AppBlock, which we do not make and cannot guarantee. Our setup guide explains what those apps can and cannot do. Supervise how your child uses the device, as you would with any connected device.
Our responsibility to you
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or any other rights you have under the law of the country you live in. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or that arises from misuse of the player.
Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we collect what we need to deliver your order and help you afterwards, we share delivery details with our manufacturer and carrier, and we never sell your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If we ever have a dispute, we will try to sort it out with you directly first. Nothing in this clause removes any protection you have under the consumer law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
